| Quality Learning uses a systems integration approach
to professional support and resource accessibility for K-12
educators. Years of
research and study have resulted in the design and development
of a 21st century teaching and learning model
that meets the needs of ALL
students by providing a holistic solution that combines the very
best tools and resources with high quality, 21st
century professional development and support.
This comprehensive solution ensures that every child
has a well-prepared teacher who knows what to teach, how to
teach, and has the quality resources available to provide
every child a relevant and rigorous learning opportunity.
Quality
Learning uses a three stage process that leads to self
sufficiency of the organization. This three stage process
allows participants to experience our Knowledge Age model of
teaching and learning, then develop internal professional
development solutions based on the Quality Learning model. The
knowledge and skills developed are transferred to daily
classroom practice or leadership functions, and new models of
teaching and learning for students are developed.
Using
QL’s 3S3 model and building a district-wide professional
development plan based on beginning with the end in mind, with
the end being the Portrait of a Knowledge Age Learner, allows
a district to create customized and targeted learning paths
for groups of learners with common tasks and responsibilities
and for individual learners with unique needs and job
functions. It
also establishes the framework and tools needed to begin to
deliver customized learning pathways for students.
In short, it establishes a knowledge management and
transfer system in which learning becomes ongoing and
mandatory for all.
