Introduction
“The voyage of discovery is not in seeking new landscapes
but in having new eyes.”
~ Marcel Proust, Author
Much has been written on improving public education and the knowledge and
skills that our graduates need as they go on to college or enter the
workforce. Unfortunately, not a lot has been done to create a
comprehensive model of reform to ensure that we really are making the
needed changes. Research continues to demonstrate that the economic
viability and sustainability of our community is directly linked to the
quality of our education systems.
Please take some time to read the articles below. These articles represent
the latest thinking and research findings on improving the quality of
education for our students. As you read through these articles think about
your community and your schools and where they stand in relation to the
concepts and ideas being discussed.
